Prayer

What is prayer? Prayer is vital and the foundation of all faith.  It can be formal or informal.  Prayer is our direct conversation with God. Prayer is a communication process that allows us to talk to God  and listen to him! He wants us to communicate with Him, like a person-to-person conversation. The Lord's Prayer is a prayer given to us by Christ and those wishing to start to pray should start with this:

Our Father who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done,

on earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

and forgive us our tresspasses,

as we also  forgive those who

trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

for thine is the Kingdom

the power and the glory

forever and ever - Amen

Talking On A Sunday Together
(for Teenagers)

We have a wonderful, thriving and superbly resourced Sunday School with qualified and DBS cleared staff.  Everyone is very welcome to join the Sunday School.  Children leave during the main Eucharist Service (except during the Family Eucharist) and rejoin the main service towards the end.  Children are of course welcome to stay in the main service with their parents.

Baptism and Confirmation

Baptism marks the beginning of the journey of faith, which finds its fruition at Confirmation.

Our Church offers a traditional, lively setting for Baptisms, no matter the age of the person. We only baptise on a Sunday unless it is an emergency.  We do expect families to attend at least four services before having their child baptised so that we can build an ongoing relationship with them.

Confirmation services happen a few times a year, and we will work with you to discuss and examine the issues of faith.

Get in touch with the Parish Office for more details.
