‘Returning from Exile’

A Quiet Day to support people to get back into the world from lockdown, whilst learning to live with Covid 19.

In our biblical tradition returning from exile is a strong theme.  The Quiet Day will explore this theme and will offer the opportunity to share, reflect, to be spiritually fed and to gain encouragement.

The Day will be led by The Revd. Haydon Wilcox.   Numbers will be limited to 16.  All Covid protocols will be practised to ensure a safe environment.

The event will be from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and held in the large Chapel at St. Columba’s House, Woking and in the peaceful grounds.  The cost will be £30 and includes a packed lunch and refreshments.

We anticipate high demand, so two dates have been set aside: Monday 7th June and Monday 12th July 2021.

‘Recognising the Pearl’

A reflective evening for those who have discovered something precious in Lockdown and wondering how they might keep what has been good.

Matthew’s Gospel speaks of the fine pearl as being like the kingdom of heaven.  A fine pearl is a valuable treasure that needs no polishing or cutting.  It comes complete and beautifully created by God through nature, and because of this speaks of a great truth.

In the company of others could we identify that truth and commit to build upon it? The evening will offer the opportunity to share, reflect, to be spiritually fed and to gain encouragement.

The evening will be led by The Revd. Haydon Wilcox.   Numbers will be limited to 16.  All Covid protocols will be practised to ensure a safe environment.

The event will be from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and held in the large Chapel at St. Columba’s House, Woking and in the peaceful grounds.  The cost will be £15 .

We anticipate high demand, so two dates have been set aside: Wednesday 16th June and Tuesday  28th September 2021.
