Our Vacancy Journey
The advert for Vicar of Christ Church ran its course, with the closing date on 30th October. Sadly we did not manage to shortlist anyone for interview.
Our next step is to advertise again, and the advert will go to press in the New Year, from the 17th January. The closing date will be February 12th and shortlisting will take place on February 19th. If we are successful this time we will be hosting visits to the Parish on 12th March, with interviews the following day, 13th March. These dates may change slightly, but this gives us a time frame to work to.

Please continue to pray that God will guide us all as we seek to discern His will and that He will draw the right person to us. St Paul in Romans 12 reminds us that ‘though we are many, we are one body’, and he encourages us to use our gifts. We have seen everyone doing their part, great or small, during this time of vacancy, a testament to the love within our church.
Thank you.

Prayer for the vacancy
God our Father, you have welcomed each one of us in Jesus and called us to be His body in this place:

Send your Holy Spirit at this time of uncertainty and change, to fill us with vision, energy, and faithfulness in prayer, that we may be true to our calling to bring new life to our community.

Give your heavenly wisdom to those who are to choose a new vicar for this parish, that she or he may be a wise and gentle shepherd of your people, ready to serve us with joy, to build us up in faith and to lead us by example in loving obedience to your Son, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
5+5
5+5 is an encouragement to read the Bible and pray for 5 minutes each.
